Foluke Akinlose MBE

Foluke Akinlose MBE is a journalist by training and the founder of PRECIOUS, the leading online network and resource for women of colour. Foluke launched The Precious Awards in 1997′ a unique annual awards event endorsed as ‘vital’ by UK Prime Minister David Cameron. The awards celebrate the achievements of women of colour across a range of industries. PRECIOUS Girls works with schools to encourage, inspire, support and promote the next generation of women of colour by increasing entrepreneurial attitudes and providing access to positive female role models. The winner of numerous awards, Foluke was honoured with an MBE in 2010.
